American Books Reach Nablus-Area School Akraba Officials, High School Students Thank Consulate for Donation On September 8, U.S. Consulate staff visited Akraba High School for Girls near the West Bank city of Nablus and presented the school with 220 new books to boost their modest library collection and provide readers with a better understanding of the United States and its people. A representative of the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Culture, the Mayor of Akraba , the school’s principal and excited students looked on as the books, including American classic novels, Disney books, Scholastic titles, educational books, and encyclopedias for young readers, were unveiled. The Mayor and principal thanked the Consulate for its friendship and support to the high school while a 12th grade student offered her words of appreciation in perfect English!
