As families and friends celebrate Hanukkah, may the significance of the lighting of the Hanukkah menorah serve as a continual reminder of the role courage and faith play in overcoming oppression and changing the course of history. 

During this Festival of Lights, may each of us rededicate ourselves to doing our part to promote freedom and peace and to make the world a better place for all humankind.
