Except in emergencies, all U.S. passports are now produced at facilities in the United States. The processing time for passports is now one to two weeks. Please read below to find links to the different categories for applying for a U.S. passport.
Categories of Regular Passport Applications
There are two basic types of passport applications, first-time passports and passport renewals. There are also different procedures for applicants under or over 16 years old. Forms
All passport forms should be completed before you arrive at the Consulate for your appointment, since the Consulate has limited space in its waiting room. It is also important you read the instructions on these pages carefully and complete the correct form for your situation. Completing the wrong form can result in significant delays in processing your case.
