Ramadan Kareem! PD Jerusalem Kicks Off a Month of Ramadan Outreach Programming with two Quiz Nights in East Jerusalem and Bethlehem

A brave quiz participant faces the crowd and answers questions for a special prize

PD Jerusalem hosted the first evening of its annual Ramadan Quiz Night series with Jerusalem’s Palestinian community on August 14 at the Jerusalem Hotel. More than 100 local residents showed up for the event, co-hosted by the Consulate General with PALVision, a local NGO that promotes leadership for Palestinian youth. On August 19, PALVision and the Consulate General hosted a second Quiz Night in Bethlehem at Ibda’a Center. Both Quiz Nights attracted families, young adults, and local community leaders, all eager to participate in the Palestinian tradition of gathering for games and activities after Iftar. Competing against the local teams were groups of American- and local-staff representing the U.S. Consulate.
