American Corner Jericho Hosts an Iftar for its Visitors and Patrons
The American Corner in Jericho hosted an Iftar for members of the local community in Jericho. The sixty guests included municipality officials, school administrators, teachers, students, and other patrons of the American Corner. Representing the U.S. Consulate was Public Affairs Officer Frank Finver, Public Diplomacy Officer Esperanza Tilghman, and Cultural Affairs Assistant Dana Rassas. The Mayor and the Governor of Jericho warmly welcomed guests, and Public Affairs Officer Frank Finver delivered his own thanks to the Municipality for organizing the event and allowing the Consulate to be a part of the Ramadan celebration. In his remarks, Mr. Finver referred to President Obama’s Ramadan message, noting that Ramadan is “a time when Muslims reflect upon the wisdom and guidance that comes with faith and the responsibility that human beings have to one another, and to God.”
