Consul General invites Palestinians to elections gala event marking historic presidential vote.
The U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem celebrated the 2008 presidential election results in Ramallah with Palestinian dignitaries, business and civil society leaders, students and gathered press on November 5. The festivities included an interactive electoral map, live webchats with American experts, an election-themed quiz, and many party favors, including book sets on U.S. government and culture, campaign pins, posters and more. The event drew over 400 guests who expressed their congratulations to Consulate staff and American guests on the conclusion of an election with historic results.
