Consulate Staff Organizes Day of American Games and Food for Jerusalem Old City Summer Camp Children

On August 12, US diplomats from the US Consulate General in Jerusalem joined in summer camp fun with more than 100 children at the Borj El Luqluq Youth Center summer camp in the Old City of Jerusalem. Volunteers from the Consulate organized traditional American childrens games, including Simon Says, bobbing for apples and frisbee tossing. The older campers showed the diplomats some fine soccer moves during a friendly match. The day was rounded out with an awards ceremony where Consulate-funded prizes were presented and everyone enjoyed the diplomats’ homemade brownies, cookies and cakes. The campers thanked the American visitors for their participation and asked them to return for a visit soon!
