U.S. Consulate Jerusalem Connects Palestinian NGOs to U.S. Foundation and its Philanthropic Network of 4000 NGOs Worldwide
U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem arranged a full-day workshop for Palestinian NGOs with visiting representatives from Salesforce.com Foundation, a recognized leader in Corporate Social Responsibility and “compassionate capitalism” launched by former Secretary of State Colin Powell.
The Salesforce.com Foundation has donated its organizational management software to over 4000 non-profits in 60 countries, but before this, had no contact with Palestinian organizations. PD Jerusalem identified and invited 19 Palestinian NGOs to this full-day workshop, during which each NGO received 10 donated licenses of the Salesforce.com product. The reaction of the Palestinian NGO representatives was overwhelmingly positive, and they thanked the U.S. Consulate for giving them this first-ever opportunity to join the network of non-profits worldwide who benefit from this product.
