A School Beautification Project Supported by the U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem

PD Jerusalem joined its local partner Partners for Sustainable Development (PSD) for an evening that included a school beautification project, Iftar, musical performances, and comedy sketches. PSD organized a group of volunteers that included some of Palestine’s best and brightest students, to create murals. PSD threw an Iftar for volunteers and students from the Hebron area, which also included a number of performances in celebration of Ramadan. Performances included a violin performance, rappers, and a short sketch on classroom life in Palestine. Volunteers also participated in a quiz event that combined elements of Palestinian and American history and culture. Winners received an Arabic-translated copy of President Obama’s Dreams from My Father.
