Jerusalem

The U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem partnered with the Palestinian NGO Young Entrepreneurs of Palestine (YEP) to organize a Career Day event in Hebron. Representatives from 20 Palestinian businesses and corporations visited with nearly 200 university students from Palestine Polytechnic University, Palestine Polytechnic Institute, Bethlehem University, and Hebron University to discuss career options and employment opportunities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Consulate General’s Public Affairs Officer Frank Finver encouraged the students to continue building their skills and talents, saying that they are all future leaders. He also emphasized that the career fair was part of the Consulate’s continued efforts to foster an environment that promotes employment and job opportunities. Speaking on behalf of YEP, Mr. Mouawiya Qawasmi thanked the U.S. Consulate General for its continuous support and commitment to building a strong Palestinian workforce.

The students met with representatives from 20 companies, including Pal Tel, Al-Junidi Dairy Company, Trust International Insurance Company, and Arab Bank to learn about opportunities for full-time employment upon graduation, in addition to internships and part-time job positions for students continuing their studies.
