During a January 18-19 visit to Nablus, American Consul General Daniel Rubinstein met with Nablus Governor Jibreen Al-Bakri, attended a reception hosted by the Governor, met with An-Najah University President Rami Hamdallah, visited the Palestine Exchange, toured the American software company Infinite Tiers, and hosted a reception for alumni of U.S. exchange programs from the northern West Bank.
CEO Ahmed Aweidah led the Consul General on a tour of the Palestine Exchange, one of the first virtual exchanges in the Middle East. The Consul General then visited Infinite Tiers, a subsidiary of a U.S. company based in Cincinnati founded by a Palestinian-American. He met with some of the company’s young software designers and viewed demonstrations of their products.
Rubinstein ended his trip to Nablus by meeting with alumni of U.S. exchange programs from the northern West Bank, focusing on business, trade, development, and entrepreneurship. Alumni and the Consul General discussed challenges and opportunities in their local business and commercial ventures, as well as possibilities for future engagement with the U.S. Consulate General.
Rubinstein commended Nablus residents for their resilience, and emphasized continued U.S. government support for Palestinian private sector economic development.
