U.S. Provides Emergency Medical Assistance to Beit Hanoun

The United States provided emergency medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to the people of Beit Hanoun through the Kamal Edwan and Beit Hanoun hospitals on November 11 and 12. This humanitarian aid was given to help these hospitals respond to increased emergency caseloads.

Medical supplies included items such as bandages, intravenous tubing, surgical gloves, airways, sutures, and syringes.

Pharmaceuticals included intravenous fluids and antibiotics.

The assistance from USAID’s Emergency Medical Assistance Project Phase III (EMAP III) was implemented by the humanitarian organization CARE
