Cinderella in Jericho
In celebration of Ramadan, with the support of the U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem, the American Corner at the Jericho Library sponsored on October 13, a play for children at the municipal theater of Jericho City. A modified version of “Cinderella” was performed by Al-Qasaba theater intended to teach children the values of respect, love and acceptance of people with disabilities. A big audience of children and parents crowded the theater to enjoy the musical comedy. Jericho Mayor Hasan Saleh also attended the show and made a short speech welcoming the audience and Consulate representatives. He also encouraged the audience to visit the American Corner at the library and learn more about it. The event was covered in Al-Quds and Al-Ayyam dailies.
