American Corner Jericho hosts battle of the minds in American-themed Quiz Competition

The American Corner in Jericho challenged local students to test their knowledge of American society, culture, and geography in a quiz competition between two local schools - the Rosary Sisters’ School and Tarasanta—Franciscan Sisters’ School - on September 26. Sixteen students, eight from each school, vied to answer the 40 questions correctly, encouraged by cheering classmates. The students, all in the 10th grade, spent a day before the event researching the answers and learning other "great American facts", which they then studied in preparation for the competition. Their efforts were rewarded with thundering applause and American classic novels of teen litterature published in Arabic translation.
