Except in emergencies, all U.S. passports are now printed at facilities in the United States. Your new passport will arrive at our office between two to three weeks after you apply at the Consulate. The fees, regulations, and required application forms differ based on whether you are applying for a first-time passport or renewing a passport. In addition, special requirements apply to applicants under 16 years of age. Please follow the links below to the appropriate instructions for your situation:
NOTE: Photocopies Now Required
As of November 23, 2015, applicants are expected to provide photocopies of all required documents. If you do not bring the requisite photocopies for the service you are applying for, the American Citizen Services Unit will make copies for you but at a fee of $1 per page. You will pay this fee to the cashier at the same time you pay the applicable passport fees.
